A new golden spruce is growing out of the fallen trunk, while the spirits of Hiilang Jaat and K’iid K’iyaas look on. The severed hand of K’iid K’iyaas is re-emerging in the form of the little tree. The 
smiling spirit of K’iid K’iyaas is confident that the new tree will survive and grow to a great height; Hiilang Jaat, on the other hand, is more anxious about the future of the young spruce.
