Lindsay McIntyre featured in Inuit Art Quarterly

July 16, 2019

The experimental film work of Vancouver-based Inuit artist Lindsay McIntyre is the subject of a feature article in the summer 2019 issue of Inuit Art Quarterly. Written by Taqralik Partridge and titled “Between Making and Telling,” the article explores Bloodline (2007-2012), McIntyre’s series of works based on her family’s maternal history, a narrative that begins with her great grandmother’s forced removal from Baker Lake (Qamani’tuaq) in the late 1930s. Bloodline is currently on view at MSG as part of “Point of View”, the Gallery’s summer exhibition showcase of contemporary Inuit expression.
