The Counter/Self at the Lilley Museum

February 25, 2024

The Counter/Self, an exhibition featuring work by Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory and Jamie Griffiths among others, opens at the John and Geraldine Lilley Museum of Art on February 29 and runs until June 1. The exhibition explores identity politics and the constructed self through the use of alter egos and a variety of media. From photography to sculpture, these artists force the viewers to explore their own concepts of self and internalized prejudices. White Liar: The Known Shore by Bathory and Griffiths is among the pieces presented.
