Tony Anguhalluq and Jamasee Pitseolak in residence at Studio PM

September 22, 2010

Tony Anguhalluq and Jamasie Pitseolak will participate in a new residency program for Inuit artists to be hosted by Montreal’s Studio PM. Starting October 1, the two-week residency will give the artists an opportunity to learn various printmaking techniques while providing them with valuable studio time to create new work using Studio PM’s spacious state-of-the-art facilities.

The residency is being jointly organized and sponsored by Studio PM and the Marion Scott Gallery, with additional major support from the Government of Nunavut. As well as having the opportunity to work together for the first time in a new studio environment, Anguhalluq, from Baker Lake, and Pitseolak, from Cape Dorset, will also get to sample some of Montreal’s vibrant contemporary art scene during their joint residency.
