Vancouver Art Gallery Acquires Mark Igloliorte’s Eskimo Roll

October 13, 2020

The Vancouver Art Gallery has announced its acquisition of Eskimo Roll by Vancouver’s Mark Igloliorte. Created in collaboration with Navarana Igloliorte, the 3-minute video loop records an open air performance in which Igloliorte attempts to reproduce the famous manoeuvre in a kayak in Vancouver’s English Bay. Another edition of the same work was also acquired by the TD Bank Collection in 2019.
