Jamasee Pitseolak in Sitelines 2018

August 3, 2018

Jamasee Pitseolak is one of 23 artists from eight different countries featured in the 2018 edition of Sitelines, Site Santa Fe’s biennial of contemporary art from the Americas. Entitled Casa Tomada, this year’s biennial examines ideas of home, belonging, leaving and place, paying particular attention to these concepts as they are experienced by indigenous communities whose cultures have survived centuries of conquest. The exhibition features several of Pitseolak’s stone sculptures representing various contemporary and historical objects.
