In her first institutional exhibition on the West Coast, Shuvinai Ashoona: Mapping Worlds brings together a selection of drawings created by the acclaimed Nunavut-based artist over the past two decades. Organized by The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Toronto, and curated by Dr. Nancy Campbell with assistance from Justine Kohleal, the exhibition showcases Ashoona’s singular expression comprised of a combination of fantastical visions and closely observed everyday scenes.
