May 18, 2022

May 18 – October 23, 2022
Bill Reid Gallery

Jut-ke-Nay Wilson is one of four artists featured in Beaded Nostalgia, currently on view at Vancouver’s Bill Reid Gallery. Curated by Aliya Boubard, the exhibition celebrates and examines the use of beadwork by Indigenous artists as a means of connecting with the past, homelands and memory. The exhibition features K’iid K’iyaas, Wilson’s button robe from 2006 depicting the Golden Spruce, a tree with sacred origins that stood for 300 years beside a river on northern Haida Gwaii. The exhibition also includes works by Audie Murray, Serena Steel and Nico Williams.
