I Use My Haida Eyes: The History Robes of Jut-ke-Nay Hazel Wilson at the MOA

June 3, 2026

May 14 – October 12, 2026 | Audain Gallery

Now on view at the Museum of Anthropology (MOA), I Use My Haida Eyes brings together the extraordinary History Robes series by the late Haida artist Jut-ke-Nay Hazel Wilson (1941–2016). Created between 2005 and 2006, the 51 robes recount stories of Haida history, culture, and resilience from a Haida perspective.

Drawing on the tradition of Northwest Coast button blankets, Wilson’s works combine history, storytelling, and innovation in a powerful landmark series. This exhibition marks the first time nearly the entire body of work has been shown together.

We encourage visitors to experience this important exhibition at MOA.
