Kigusiuq, Oonark & Mamnguqsualuk in Double Vision at the Textile Museum of Canada

The works of Jessie Oonark and her daughters, Janet Kigusiuq and Victoria Mamnguqsualuk, are the featured focus of Double Vision, on view at Toronto’s Textile Museum of Canada until March 31, 2023. Curated by Candice Hopkins, the exhibition brings together multiple examples of nivinnggajuliaat (appliquéd wallhangings) by all three Utkusiksalingmiut artists, supplemented by several prints and drawings. The installation also includes a colourful series of paper collages by Kigusiuq that pay homage to the family’s Back River homeland.
