Qavavau Manumie in We, on the Rising Wave at the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan

Kinngait’s Qavavau Manumie is featured in the 2022 Busan Biennale in South Korea. Entitled We, on the Rising Wave and curated by Haiju Kim, the 2022 edition of this international showcase explores themes of global interconnectedness and the complex relationships between the body, the land and history. Manumie’s meticulous and whimsically-imagined drawings are featured in an installation at the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan, the event’s main exhibition space.
