Shuvinai Ashoona is Featured in New York Times

Nunavut’s Shuvinai Ashoona is the subject of a feature story in the New York Times. In the article, writer Patricia Leigh Brown discusses Ashoona’s studio practice in Kinngait (Cape Dorset) and connects it to the acclaimed artist’s growing world-wide reputation, evidenced most recently by her special mention at the 2022 Venice Biennale and the inclusion of her work in Milk of Dreams, this year’s feature exhibition. Ashoona’s work was also recently featured in an exhibition at the ICA Miami, her first museum show in the US.
